And if I see no sunlight, then will someone please say how then I have found the fount of youth? There is not such a fountain! Do not fear the coming dark or the blood pumping in your veins I swear I will disappear with the first drop of the morning rain I swear: You will remember me as a dark spot on your vision I am a sin, but you need not beg for contrition There are a million things that lurk in a dark place Let them be a proxy for my long forgotten face I am a nightmare! I am a horror! Don't recall me fondly; Don't recall me at all You gave me a heart-shaped box in the age we were both children Use it as a tomb for me, a thing to hold my ash in! I fear no tomorrows, but I'm running from my past If this is eternity, I hope that it can last I hope: You will remember me as a dark spot on your vision I am a sin, but you need not beg for contrition There are a million things that lurk in a dark place Let them be a proxy for my long forgotten face I am a monster! I'm an abomination! Don't recall me fondly; don't recall me at all

II, DRACULA. 03:37
I got a girl in Hollywood She loves to love me too Says, "Babe, I don't know anyone But I think I know you" My girl is six feet underground But I'll never move on For though my girl's heart may be still My girl is never gone My girl she bids me listen to The children of the night: "What music they make! What dark wings in flight!" My girl she's got hypnotic eyes Oh, pinlights and sunrise! My girl she tells me that We'll never die My girl got shipped to Hollywood Boxed in a wooden crate With mounds of dirt all piled high In such the kingliest estate My girl is gonna rise up soon and then She'll take me outta this town What comes up must fall back again But we're never coming down My girl she bids me listen to The thousand shining stars The music of the night is drums and hearts and bulletproof cars My girl in grayscale glamor Black lipstick and white eyes! My girl she tells me that We'll never die

III, LESTAT. 03:08
Ambitious moods like ours will want to change to match the weather But brother, it's not misery if I find us there together Our melancholy hearts will dim to match the dark'ning hour But brother call the rain and wind, that grieving is our power Sing: “I may shrink back from the blinding light, But I will go there for you, If you will revel in the stormy night, And bring yourself here for me” Tell me I'm your sunshine and I put the darkness at bay Tell me that my smile's enough to make you forget bright day And I will say your dark eyes remind me of the nighttime's black sky And that the glimmer of each star is held inside that dark eye Sing: “I may burn and writhe alive in sun, But I will go there for you If you will hold me when the day is done, And bring yourself here for me I may shrink back from the blinding light, But I will go there for you, If you will revel in the stormy night, And bring yourself here for me”

Like a sonnet plagiarized from god I will curse the sacred, I will praise the profane Oh be amazed my love, be awed As I kill the sun and shun the light of day How many songs have I writ to you To convince you that my love is true? How many more will I pen in time to convince you it was all a lie? So God bless me and keep me away From your face and the light of day Like a sonnet plagiarized from god I will bury my heart, I will keep it in ash But I hardly think that I ought to be awed When you are not impressed, you don't bat an eyelash How many times have I staked you through How many more have I returned to you? How could I not have seen that which is obvious and true? When I curse your name, I therefore curse myself too I have eternity to mull it over how your blood stole my heart in a hostile takeover I have no more days but endless nights To resoil the things that you made light Or: I have eternity to try and repent I have a million nights, I will cry and lament I have every night until the end of time After it's all said and done, still don't know if you'll be mine So God bless you and keep you away From my face and the things I say

about

I'd like to thank quite a few people for helping me with this album.
First, love to my husband, Donavan Bartow, and the cat, who were my long suffering silent muses throughout the process.
I'd also like to thank Lori Harmon, who didn't mind how much awful racket I made while recording, and offered me food almost every time I ventured out of my lair.
And of course I could never forget to thank Beverly "Ever" Loving and "Dizzy", for being my most enthusiastic fans along the way. Any time I get discouraged I just have to turn to you, and I feel like a rock star again.
Beyond that, I'd like to thank my family, my friends, and everyone who has ever fallen in love with a vampire. You guys are the best, and I wouldn't trade you for the world.
